Prayer Update

I received an e-mail this morning with this note from the family of the triplets. Their faith and the grace poured out on them is something you can almost physically feel through their words. I thought this would bless those of you who have been praying for them.

Sweet friends and family,

We want to thank all of you who prayed so faithfully, and we are sorry to bring sad news. But although our hearts are broken right now, we know that heaven is a little richer this morning. The triplets were born this morning in the wee hours of the morning, and within about an hour, Frances Grace, Charles Robert, and William Michael had all found their places in the arms of Jesus.

The doctors and Becky did everything they could to save them, but Becky's own safety was at issue with some complications due to the medications. They were never able to stop the contractions in any case.

Beautiful, beautiful babies :-) :-) :-). Mommy and Daddy were able to hold them for a short time to say their goodbyes. Becky said, "I will still say, "Blessed be the name of the Lord."

To Gracie, Will, and Charles:

When we prepared to give

Three "Welcome home's" one day,

You flew away to heaven -

God did not let you stay.

You lived and smiled in dreams we had

Before you went away,

We sang and spoke our love to you,

For there was much to say.

We had to end the conversation,

For the dreams did not come true:

The Father called, "My little ones!"

And to His arms you flew.

What is this love we cannot give,

The things we cannot say,

The treasures of our hearts locked up

Until one far-off day?

Like presents for a birthday

That never seems to come,

A story that's untold to us -

A song that's still unsung.

But treasures of such love are worth

The pain we must endure,

For love is grief's best remedy,

Its blessing and its cure.

It is better to have loved and lost,

Despite the grief and pain.

We know it's true; we still love you;

You are not loss, but gain.
