Monday is my birthday so last night began the official weekend of festivities. I love birthdays. I really want to have a birthday party just like when I was a kid but I'll settle for more adult activities since I am drawing ever closer to 30 and it's weird to throw yourself a swim party at my age. My partying started last night with my in-laws coming over. It was lots of fun. John surprised me by working from home, going to the grocery store, and handling almost everything for dinner, including having others help out and bring yummy food. What a sweet husband. My sweet mother-in-law made me a strawberry cake with pink icing and sprinkles and sparkle candles. That is so me. I'll turn 27 if I can still have sparkle candles and pink icing on my cake. Little John keeps insisting that it's his turn to have a birthday. Not sure what he's going to think when Dad and Kailey also have theirs before his comes around again. I can't wait to throw Kailey pink birthday parties. Have I mentioned that I love birthdays?

I'm so up for a swim party for your birthday - maybe next year! I'm so glad it was a wonderful event & that your family helped you celebrate YOU! I love you my friend!
Happy birthday, friend! I think you should celebrate your birthday any ol' way you want . . including a swim party at 30! (Or whatetver year it happens to be!!). I had a princess party this past year in November - courtesy of my sister and my boys. They were asking if I wanted a Super Heros party, and I had to explain that girls like things like princesses, and boys like Super Heros (in most cases anyway!). So, my party was complete with crowns, princess cake, and princess plates and napkins!
You deserve a party!!! By the way, every year, Christine has a pink strawberry cake with pink icing and sliced strawberries (instead of sprinkles!). Her birthday is coming up too, and we will certainly have a celebration of that day!!! Have a wonderful birthday and remember how very much you are loved! By the way, I'll be at C's house on Monday helping her out, so just come by if you want!
Hugs!
I would do a swim party! It will make me work harder to get the baby weight off!
