I've Got To Remember This Line

Today I was sitting on the couch with Kailey who decided to be extremely fussy today. I had all these grand plans of housework, laundry, dinner, a nap, and they all went flying out the window. Oh well. Anyway, I was trying to appease the little princess when Little John walked in with about 8 cookies. Very good, organic, more healthful cookies, by the way. He walked in with these cookies like he really thought he was going to be allowed to eat all of them. When I said, "Excuse me, but I don't think so," instead of trying his usual, "You want one, Mommy?" (which too often probably works), he went with a new tactic and said, "But it's almost my birthday!" Nice. It is exactly 12 days until his birthday. I am so using that come the first of July.
