Wake Up and See the Glory

I am a huge Steven Curtis Chapman fan and have been since the "old" days. I love
his lyrics and the thoughts he gives about God and our walk with Him. I was
listening to this song yesterday and was struck again by the picture he provides
of the way we miss what God is doing because we're paying attention to such trivial
things. Why would we play Gameboy standing in the Grand Canyon?! I want to
wake up and see the glory.

I never did like the word mediocre
I never wanted it to be said of me, oh, no
Just point me to the top and I'd go over, over
Looking for the very best that could be
So.. what is this thing I see
Going on inside of me?
When it comes to the grace of God
Sometimes it's like

I'm playing Gameboy standing in the middle of the Grand Canyon
I'm eating candy sittin' at a gourmet feast
I'm wading in a puddle when I could be swimming in the ocean
Tell me what's the deal with me
Wake up and see the glory

Every star in the sky tells his story, oh
And every breeze is singing his song
All of creation is imploring
Hey, come see this grand phenomenon
The wonder of His grace
Should take my breath away
I miss so many things when I'm consumed with

Playing Gameboy standing in the middle of the Grand Canyon
I'm eating candy sittin' at a gourmet feast
I'm wading in a puddle when I could be swimming in the ocean
Tell me what's the deal with me
(I know the time has come for me to)
Wake up and see the glory

Is that from his new album? I'm behind enough to not even really know for sure whether or not he HAS a new album, but I've been a big fan for lots of years too. I like the lyrics. .I'd love to hear it!

I am also a huge SCC fan. He is such a great entertainer and I LOVE his music. My favorite album (cd--whatever) is the "All About Love" cd. I love these lyrics and I haven't heard it before either. I'll have to get my hands on this one! It was so good to visit tonight---sorry it ended so abruptly! Love you so much!

It's from his "Declaration" album. It's a few years old. It has some great songs on it, of course!
